生きがい
Ikigai is the certain something that gives a person or an organisation a meaning or a sense of purpose. The term was widely popularised in the 1960s, but the idea of ikigai has been a part of Japanese culture for a long time.
In the concept of ikigai, things that give one a reason for being are not done out of compulsion, but willingly, because doing those things gives you joy and delight.
Often understood through a Venn diagram, it considers all facets of one’s existence, combining each intersecting part to discover one’s ikigai.
